The NCT is an annual test of a car’s safety, roadworthiness and exhaust emissions. A valid NCT certificate is a legal requirement in the ROI for most vehicles over 4 years old.

Your NCT must be done every four years until your car is 30 years old, and from then it will need to be tested every two years. If your car passes its NCT, you will receive an NCT certificate, valid until your car must be tested again. If your car should fail, our qualified and experienced technicians will make light work of any repairs needed for the retest.

Your NCT checks that your vehicle meets all the safety and environmental standards that are required for it to be on the road. If your car is 4 years or older, it will need to pass this test every 2 years and once it’s over 10 years old, every year.
